Cindi Cooper was appointed in 2020 as a member of the Sunbury Council. In 2019, Cindi was a member of the Sunbury Charter Commission and became an active volunteer within Sunbury. As a member of Council, Cindi sits on the following committees:

- Events and Commemorations (Chair)
- Finance
- MORPC
Background
Cindi holds a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on Adult Education and Training, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix. She played an important role on the 2019 Sunbury Charter Commission. Cindi has served on the Sunbury City Council since 2020 and the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition since 2023.
Personal Life
Cindi and her husband Ben have lived in Sunbury since 2013. Her stepson Bishop graduated from Big Walnut High School and now attends Kent State University, while Cindi homeschools their four younger children: Solomon, Cruz, Izrayel, and Gideon. The family loves being part of the Sunbury community and can often be found at Big Walnut football games, youth sports events, the Community Library, or enjoying activities at the town square. In her free time, Cindi enjoys reading, healthy living, community service, and cheering on the Cleveland Browns.
